People First New Zealand is a self advocacy organisation that is led and directed by people with learning (intellectual) disability. They provide a lot of easy to read information and services to help people understand complex things like COVID-19. People First is part of an international movement fighting for the rights and inclusion of all people with learning disability. They want to make sure people with a learning disability can have a voice on things that are important to them, promote their human rights and represent people with a learning disability who cannot speak for themselves. They are all over New Zealand and if you want to contact them, you can fill out a form on their Contact page or call one of the phone numbers on there. They also have an email address where you can ask for documents to be translated into easy-reading language.
