GET INVOLVED – MINISTRY OF HEALTH – COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS
DISABILITY DIRECTORATE LIVESTREAM CONVERSATION 17 OCTOBER FROM 6PM TO 7PM
It was good to see Adri Isbister – Deputy Director-General Disability, Ministry of Health in Christchurch recently. Adri has been travelling the Country to work collaboratively with disabled people, their family and whanau, carers and providers. Community conversations and workshops are being held to discuss the historic, current and future of a sustainable and equitable disability support system.
A nationwide transformation of the existing disability support system is under way, and the aim of the transformed system is to ensure disabled people and their families have greater choice and control in their lives. New Zealand have a draft document and your ideas and input will be considered in the decisions for the final document.
